Square Threaded Inserts for Table & Chair Legs

Quick Self-Leveling Setup

Designed for metal square tube legs, these internal threaded caps are ideal for tables, dry bars, and commercial furniture. Once installed, they allow for fast height adjustments using an M8 or 8mm (5/16" / 0.31") screw-in table feet.

Secure, No-Fall Fit

Each insert features ribbed walls that naturally fold inward when tapped in with a mallet. This creates a super tight, secure fit inside the hollow leg — no slipping or falling out over time.

How to Install

  1. Tap the threaded insert into your square hollow leg.
  2. As the insert is tapped in, the ribs compress slightly and fold inward, locking firmly against the inner walls of the leg for a tight, secure hold.
  3. Screw in any M8 or 8mm (5/16" / 0.31") compatible foot, such as our 8mm Screw-in Table Adjusters, for a stable, wobble-free finish.

How do I choose the adaptor size?

The size options refer to the square tube’s outside width. Measure the inside opening too, then check the product dimension images for compatibility. The adaptor provides an M8 threaded fitting.

  1. Measure the tube’s outside width.
  2. Remove the old insert and measure the hollow opening’s inside width.
  3. Choose the option matching both measurements.

If the tube is between ranges, start with the smallest available quantity or send us a photo and both measurements.

What if I order the wrong size?

I tried to stop my order when I realized that I ordered the incorrect size, but they said it was too late that it was already shipped. The person took the measurements and recommended leg caps that he thought would fit. I never ordered but I just received them.
